Software for the shul office

From the aliyah sheet to the tax receipt, in one place.

ShulPledger runs the business side of a shul: kibbudim and nedarim, dues and seats, payments through your own processor, statements, receipts, yahrzeits and the zmanim schedule. In English and Hebrew, for the gabbai, the treasurer and every member.

Moving from ShulCloud or spreadsheets? We bring your members, balances and history with you.

What it does

Everything the shul office keeps track of

One system instead of a spreadsheet, a binder and a separate donation page.

כיבודים ונדרים

Kibbudim & nedarim

Fill the weekly aliyah sheet, record pledges, bids and matanos, and post them to members' accounts in one step.

תשלומים

Payments

Cards, ACH and charity cards through your processor. Members pay online; the office charges cards or records checks, cash and Zelle.

דוחות וקבלות

Statements & tax receipts

Monthly statements and year-end receipts on your letterhead, with your EIN and the IRS goods-and-services wording.

זמנים

Zmanim & davening times

Times for your location, a schedule built from rules ("Mincha 10 minutes before shkiah"), published to members and printable.

פורטל חברים

Member portal

Members see their balance and history, pay by saved card, set up recurring payments and print their own receipts.

מקומות ויארצייטים

Seats, dues & yahrzeits

A seating chart of your actual room, membership dues, and yahrzeit reminders on the right Hebrew date.

Payments

Your processor, your bank accounts

Keep the merchant account you already have, or connect several. Each fund can deposit to its own bank account, so building-fund money never lands in the operating account.

  • Several merchant accounts with the same processor, each going to a different bank
  • Payments that come in from your processor are matched to the member automatically when the card is on file
  • Members can cover the card fee with one checkbox, so the shul receives the full pledge
  • Recurring payments: monthly or weekly, until cancelled or for a set number of payments

For the treasurer

Receipts members don't have to ask for

Every member has an account number, a running ledger and a statement. Year-end receipts follow the standard IRS layout, including the value of dinner tickets and other goods, and members can open and print their own.

  • Apply a payment to specific pledges, or unapply it
  • Staff roles: treasurer, gabbai, office, view only, each seeing only their part
  • Hebrew and English throughout, right-to-left where it should be

Switching over

Moving from ShulCloud or spreadsheets

Most shuls switch between Yamim Noraim and the end of the year. Here is how it goes.

Export

Download your members, open balances, payment history and yahrzeits from your current system or spreadsheet.

Import and check

ShulPledger matches the columns and shows every row before anything is saved. Mistakes are listed with the reason.

Go live

Connect your processor, invite your gabbai and treasurer, and send members their sign-in link.
